Tom FearsTom Fears

Born in Honolulu, HI, Tom was influenced by his mother’s artistic talents. A strong passion for film and music developed over the years and although he considers himself “retired” Tom is busier than ever.

Prior to retirement, Tom was a journeyman plumber and Supervisor with the San Francisco Water Department. Several of his friends from school were construction and special events coordinators for various films shot in San Francisco. This allowed Tom to get “behind the scenes” during the making of the TV shows, Nash Bridges, Streets of San Francisco and Wheel of Fortune; plus movies including Mrs. Doubtfire, Metro, Bedazzled, Patch Adams, The Hulk, and he was even an extra in the Wedding Planner. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he would be asked to join the Board of Directors of Sandpoint Films where he claims he learns something new every day.

Film & Community experience includes: “The Pick-up” – cameraman, grip;“Sole Food” – location scout, cameraman, grip; Volunteer for filming of “Battle of the Bands”; Percussionist/Singer with the Bone Orchard Band; Owner (with wife, Barb) of Stage Right Cellars
